The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) is the government agency tasked to manage and supervised Technical Education and Skills Development (TESD) in the Philippines. In accordance with the authority’s mandate to provide quality technical education and skills development programs and providing opportunities for lifelong learning, the TESDA scholarship programs are institutionalized to provide free access to quality Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) to produce the needed worker in key employment generating industries and to improve the lives of the Filipino people.

Last May 15, 2023, Technical Excellence Academy of Motormate (TEAM), Inc. started its first batch of scholars under Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP). This scholarship program provides immediate interventions to produce the needed skilled and certified worker and fill-up the job vacancies in key industry sectors in the country. The TWSP seeks to support rapid, inclusive and sustained economic growth through the course offerings in priority industries and key employment generators (KEGs)

15 lucky individuals have been chosen by TEAM, INC. to be their TESDA scholars, and all of them undergo screening and interview process before granting 1 scholarship slot. Each scholar shall be entitled to the benefits prescribed by law and the entitlement must be strictly made in accordance with government accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

The coverage of the scholarship benefits are as follows:

• Free skills training
• Free National Competency Assessment
• Training Support Fund (P160.00/day)

These trainees are expected to end its training by September 11, 2023 and hoping that all of them will have a successful career, may it be in the employment area, self- employment or a successful business owners someday.
